What We Have Learned Working Speedway Yards Since 2020
The biggest lesson from our home town is that small lots punish shortcuts. On a front yard you can see end to end from the sidewalk, one scalped strip over a maple root or one skipped fence line is obvious for a week. So we raise the deck where surface roots run, trim before we mow, and edge the walk on every visit instead of every other one.
Wet clay is the other constant. After a hard rain, a mower on saturated Speedway soil leaves ruts that last into July. We would rather move a visit a day and text you than leave tire marks across the front yard.
